Born as Shumba Mahluli; singer, songwriter, recording artiste Dredd Muzik (formerly Yung Dredd) was born on November 16, 1992 in the beautiful tropical island of Trinidad and Tobago. He was raised in Morvant village north of the isle. He has been drawn to music since his childhood and has always been influenced by such genres as Soca, Rhythm and Blues and Pop. This can be credited to his chosen style of music incorporating Caribbean flavour with R&B Pop and Hiphop; leading to his genre of Island Pop. However, it was not until 7 years ago that he became engulfed in the world of music; writing and recording his own music.
Dredd Muzik was the first artiste to sign to Trinidad based record label Utopia Mega Studios (Utopia Music Nation) and is waving the flag high as their premier artist. He also works at the label as a song writer, bringing innovation and flare to his musical masterpieces.
Currently, Dredd Muzik has a new release “New Day” the first single off of is EP Album ‘Islan Boi’s New Day’. It is an R&B/Hiphop fusion showing the artistic versatility of the artist.
With his sharp writing skills, distinctive sound, refreshing musical structure, and commanding, lively personality; Dredd Muzik is ready to create a lasting impact on the Caribbean and International music scene.
